At 15:25 hours Co. 8 (Moneta) 1st due , Co.13 2nd due and RIT were dispatched to 2636 Rucker Road for a reported chimney fire. Wagon 13 responded with 5 at 15:27 hours. W-13 was the first unit to arrive on scene to find a 2 story structure with smoke showing from the chimney, AC-13 (Glidden) established the command. W-13's crew entered the structure to find a light smoke condition on the first and second floors but no fire. Division 1 used the TIC to check for fire extension, no fire extension was present and D-1 advised command W-13 could handle. After interior operations proved negative for fire, command then gave Wagon 13's crew orders to ladder the roof and check the chimney, the chimney area proved negative but the stove area needed to be inspected further. Home owners on scene stated they would have the stove area inspected and cleaned. Wagon 83 arrived on scene and threw ladders for W-13's crew. Units operated on scene for about an hour.
