At 01:03 hours Co.8 first due (Moneta), Co.13 (2nd due and RIT) and Sq 8 were dispatched to Dudley road for a reported garage fire. Moneta member 810 (Mayhew) arrived by POV and found one detached garage / shed fully involved. Since Engine 13(w/6) was the closest, command (Mayhew) ordered E-13 to start the initial fire attack. Moneta's wagon arrived next and was ordered to supply E-13 with their water. Rescue 13 and R-8 arrived next. Per operations (Neel) R-13 was to split its crew and pull the 2nd crosslay from E-13 and assist Co.13 members with fire attack while other R-13 members secured utilities and provide scene lighting via the light tower. Shortly after R-13 arrived and went to work, Co.13 received a 2nd alarm for a MVC. R-13 cleared per operations and assisted Wagon 13 on the MVC. W-13 / R-13 worked the MVC with no issues. Sorry we didn't get any pictures of the garage fire, we were too busy working. R-13 and W-13 cleared around 03:00 hours while the Engine worked until 04:30 hours.
